Job Summary

PAKA LLC is hiring compassionate caregivers to provide non-medical home care services in clients’ homes. You will support seniors and adults with disabilities with daily activities, safety supervision, companionship, and light household help—so they can live comfortably and independently at home.

Pay Range

• Full-Time: $20–$22/hr
• Contract: $22–$24/hr (pay varies based on experience)

Key Responsibilities (What You Will Do)

Personal Care (ADLs)

• Assist with bathing, grooming, and hygiene
• Help with dressing and personal appearance
• Support toileting and incontinence care (as needed)
• Assist with mobility, walking, transfers (bed/chair), and safe positioning
• Provide feeding assistance when needed (non-clinical)

Daily Living Support (IADLs)

• Prepare meals and snacks (including simple diet preferences per care plan)
• Housekeeping (tidying, dishes, disinfecting common areas)
• Laundry and linen changes
• Grocery shopping and errands (as assigned)
• Maintain a safe home environment (reduce fall risks, keep pathways clear)

Companionship & Engagement

• Provide companionship, conversation, and emotional support
• Encourage safe activities, routines, and social engagement
• Accompany clients to appointments or community outings (if required)

Safety & Observation

• Monitor and report changes in mood, behaviour, sleep, mobility, or general condition
• Support fall prevention and basic safety supervision
• Follow the client’s care plan and agency guidelines

Documentation & Communication

• Complete basic visit notes / timesheets accurately and on time
• Communicate respectfully with clients, families, and PAKA supervisors
• Report incidents, concerns, or urgent changes promptly

Important Note (Non-Medical Role)

• Provide medication reminders only (no medication administration unless properly licensed/authorized)
• No clinical nursing tasks

Eligibility / Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old
• No experience required (PAKA will train the right candidate)
• 2+ years of caregiving experience preferred
• Must have Valid driver’s license and reliable car to travel to client homes
• Must pass a background check
• Able to read, write, and communicate clearly in English
• Reliable, compassionate, patient, and respectful

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist with mobility support
• Ability to lift/push/pull as needed for non-medical assistance

Schedule

• Full-time or contract availability
• Day, evening, weekend, and/or overnight shifts may be available based on client needs

Job Summary (Short Description)

PAKA LLC is seeking a caring and responsible Shared Living caregiver to support an individual in a family-style home environment. In this role, the client lives in your home, and you provide daily support, supervision, and a safe place to live. This is a meaningful opportunity for someone who wants to make a real impact through consistent, relationship-based care.

Pay Range

• Minimum: $6,000/month
• Pay varies based on the Client needs and the level of support required.

Key Responsibilities (What You Will Do)

Daily Support & Supervision

• Provide ongoing supervision and a stable, safe home environment
• Help the client with day-to-day routines, including morning care, meals, planned activities, and bedtime.
• Assist with personal care needs (hygiene, dressing, toileting, mobility, as required)

Meals & Household Living

• Prepare regular meals and snacks (and support nutrition needs)
• Maintain a clean, safe, respectful living environment
• Provide laundry support and household assistance related to the client’s needs

Companionship & Community Life

• Offer companionship, emotional support, and social interaction
• Encourage participation in safe community activities and outings
• Support healthy routines and positive engagement

Transportation & Coordination

• Provide transportation to appointments and community activities (as needed)
• Coordinate with PAKA LLC, case managers, and family as applicable
• Communicate changes in behaviour/health/safety concerns promptly.

Documentation & Compliance

• Follow the care plan and program guidelines
• Participate in check-ins, home visits, and required documentation (as directed by PAKA oversight)
• Report incidents or concerns immediately

Important Note (Non-Medical Role)

• Non-medical support only; medication reminders may be included per plan (no clinical tasks unless licensed/authorized)

Eligibility / Qualifications

• Must be 22+ years old
• No experience required (training/support provided); caregiving experience is a plus
• Must own or rent a home with a vacant private room for the client to occupy
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable car
• Must be willing to sign a 1-year contract
• Must pass a background check
• Stable, respectful home environment and willingness to work with oversight requirements
